CMMI-related Training

PACT provides a full range of CMMI-based training offerings.  Whether you are looking for an executive overview, the official “Intro to CMMI” course, an advanced-level course, or simply an engaging “Do’s and Don’ts” primer, PACT has the right course for you!

Intro to CMMI course

PACT is an SEI Partner authorized to deliver the SEI's official "Intro to CMMI" course. This three-day course provides an outstanding overview of the model's architecture and content, and covers every practice in each of the 22 process areas. Pat O'Toole has taught the "Intro to CMMI" course over 50 times, both for private clients as well as in public offerings.

Intermediate Concepts of the CMMI

As an SEI Visiting Scientist, Pat also teaches the "Intermediate Concepts of the CMMI" - the 5-day advanced level course that is required for all SCAMPI lead appraisers and "Intro to CMMI" instructors. Because it is a pass/fail course and is used to evaluate candidate lead appraisers and instructors, this course can ONLY be taught by the SEI.

Executive Overview of the CMMI

PACT has developed a high-level overview of the CMMI. Available in either a 2-hour or 4-hour format, this course provides attendees with the 10,000 foot view of the model, and discusses how it can be used to improve the project performance. This course is appropriate for managers and executives that are that are giving consideration to initiating a CMMI-based improvement effort, or for those who have been made responsible for the success of the process improvement program and want to know what they're up against!

Do's and Don'ts of Process Improvement

Available in lengths from 40 minutes to 4 hours, this highly engaging presentation provides practical advice that will help attendees launch, or re-invigorate, their process improvement programs. Based on the experience of those who have gone before they will learn what works and what doesn't! Blending real world examples, practical advice, and humorous analogies, participants will learn to think more robustly about their approach to process improvement.
