Course Description
This three-day course introduces engineering managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and (S)EPG members to CMMIŽ fundamental concepts. CMMI models are an integration of best practices - tools that help organizations improve their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services.
The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions. After attending the course, participants will be able to describe the components of CMMI models and their relationships, discuss the process areas in CMMI models, and locate relevant information in the model.
This fulfills a prerequisite for any course requiring an official SEI Introductory CMMI course.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
Schedule
Introduction to CMMI is a three day course.Days one and two: 8:30am. - 5:00pm
Day three: 8:30am - 3:00pm.
Course Work
30 minutes of reading homework is required the first and second evenings of the course.
Course Materials
On the first day of the course, participants will receive CMMI: Guidelines for Process Integration and Product Improvement and a course notebook with copies of the course slides.
