In order tp attain formal recognition of maturity level achievement, an organization must undergo a SCAMPI* Class A appraisal. In preparation for this major event, the organization may conduct one or more less formal appraisals to identify and address any weaknesses which may exist. These are typically referred to as Class B, Class C, mini-appraisals, or gap analyses. PACT offers a full range of formal and informal appraisal services to meet your unique needs in the most cost-effective manner possible.
Standard Assessments
PACT offers a full range of CMMI-based appraisal services, including standard SCAMPI Class A, B and C appraisals. In addition, PACT Principal Consultant Pat O'Toole is a certified high-maturity lead appraiser who is qualified and experienced in leading formal appraisals at all levels of process maturity. Documentation Review
In addition to the standard set of appraisal methods, PACT can tailor appraisal techniques to best meet the needs of the organization. For example, PACT can provide remote or onsite documentation review in which documentation is evaluated against the standard appraisal tools. This focused and timely feedback will help to identify improvement opportunities and map the documentation against the appraisal requirements grid in preparation for a formal assessment.
Mentored Self Assessment
PACT has also developed a mini-appraisal method which relies on a questionnaire administered in facilitated sesseions to elicit practitioner input on the effectiveness of practice execution and the urgency of improving performance in each practice area. The organization can use this information to focus improvement activities on areas deemed most critical by the people performing the work. Click here for more detail on the Mentored Self Assessment.
